Supporting Young People: At Venesky Brown, we believe we have a core responsibility to support the communities we work within and make a meaningful, positive
The UK’s energy transition is driving unprecedented investment in nuclear, transmission, distribution and wider energy infrastructure. Delivering these programmes requires more than access to skilled labour – it requires workforce partners who understand compliance, mobilisation, safety and the realities of operating within highly regulated environments.
Since 2005, Venesky Brown has supported major energy and power infrastructure projects across nuclear, transmission, distribution and utilities sectors. We provide safe, reliable and compliant workforce solutions that help clients maintain operational continuity, meet critical project milestones and deliver with confidence.
From new nuclear and decommissioning programmes to transmission upgrades and major power infrastructure projects, we understand the challenges of sourcing, mobilising and retaining skilled people in competitive and highly regulated markets.
For more than 15 years, we have supported complex energy and power projects across the UK, from our early involvement in SSE's Glendoe Hydro Scheme through to major transmission and distribution programmes, nuclear decommissioning projects and new nuclear developments. Today, we are proud to support one of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes, Sizewell C, alongside a growing portfolio of transmission, distribution and energy projects nationwide.
Our teams understand the commercial, technical and compliance challenges associated with delivering critical national infrastructure and are experienced in supporting projects throughout their lifecycle.
With more than 500 people deployed across UK projects and offices strategically located throughout the country, we can respond quickly to project demands while supporting local employment and social value commitments.
Our recruitment strategy prioritises local labour wherever possible, helping clients reduce mobilisation costs, strengthen community engagement and create long-term employment opportunities in the regions where projects are delivered.
Our delivery model is designed around compliance, governance and risk management. We work closely with client labour desks, project teams and supply chain partners to ensure all personnel meet the specific requirements of each project before mobilisation.
From competency verification and right-to-work checks through to security clearances, nuclear site vetting requirements, medical requirements and project-specific onboarding processes, we maintain robust processes that provide assurance to clients operating within highly regulated sectors.
Energy projects often experience rapid changes in labour demand, skills shortages and geographically constrained talent pools.
We work proactively with clients to forecast workforce requirements, map labour availability and develop talent pipelines ahead of programme demand. This enables projects to scale efficiently, minimise mobilisation risk and maintain delivery momentum throughout the project lifecycle.
Our Elevate social value strategy and carbon reduction commitments align closely with the ambitions of leading energy clients.
We actively support apprenticeships, local employment initiatives, mental health awareness and community engagement programmes while continuing our journey towards Net Zero by 2045. Our environmental commitments are supported by ISO 14001 certification and our planned implementation of ISO 50001.
