Our Journey

From our beginnings in 2005 as an independent Scottish recruiter to becoming a trusted partner across infrastructure, energy and the public sector today

Over the last 20 years, Venesky Brown has grown from a small specialist recruiter into a multi-disciplined workforce partner, employing over 1,600 people and supporting more than 65 tier one construction projects and 100 public bodies across the UK.

Our journey has been shaped by long-term relationships, major frameworks and a continued commitment to inspiring and empowering people through meaningful employment.

20 years of growth 1,600+ people supported UK-wide workforce partner

“When I founded Venesky Brown in 2005, the ambition was simple: build a business that people could trust. Twenty years on, that purpose remains unchanged.”

Building for the Future

Over the last two decades, we have grown from a small Scottish recruitment company into a national workforce partner supporting major infrastructure projects, leading energy programmes and public sector organisations across the UK. While the scale of the business has changed, the principles that guide us have remained the same.

We believe recruitment is about more than filling vacancies. It is about creating opportunities for people, helping organisations succeed and building relationships that stand the test of time.

Many of our clients, candidates and colleagues have been part of our journey for years, and their continued trust is something I never take for granted.

What makes me most proud is not the number of projects we have supported or the growth we have achieved. It is the reputation we have built for doing things the right way. Whether we are helping to deliver nationally significant infrastructure, supporting public services or creating opportunities for individuals to progress their careers, we approach every relationship with honesty, professionalism and a genuine commitment to adding value.

Today, Venesky Brown employs more than 1,600 people across projects and offices throughout the UK. We continue to invest in our people, our communities and the partnerships that have helped shape our success. Alongside delivering for our clients, we are committed to creating positive social impact, supporting wellbeing, promoting inclusion and leaving a lasting legacy wherever we work.

As we look ahead, our focus remains on sustainable growth, strong relationships and continuing to be a business that clients, candidates and employees are proud to work with. The opportunities in front of us are exciting, but our purpose remains unchanged: connecting great people with meaningful opportunities and helping build a stronger future for the industries and communities we serve.
