We work with project directors, labour desks and commercial leads to understand programmes, phasing, possession strategy and critical skills gaps.

Targeted Recruitment

Our specialist teams build talent pipelines using sector networks, referrals and local labour pools, aligned to client competency and safety standards.

Rapid Mobilisation

We mobilise at scale, managing vetting, drug and alcohol testing, medicals and induction to get people on site safely and on time.

Dedicated account and on-site labour managers monitor performance, attend planning meetings, and adjust resource levels in line with programme and budget.

Safety, Compliance and Quality

Our commitment to safe, compliant and responsible delivery underpins the way we support major infrastructure, rail, nuclear and energy projects.

We understand that successful projects are about more than programme delivery alone. Our focus is on creating positive outcomes for clients, workers and local communities.

Dedicated health and safety staff are embedded on major projects, supported by weekly toolbox talks and a structured mental health programme.

1 in 10 Venesky Brown employees are now trained as Mental Health First Aiders, reinforcing our commitment to creating safer and more supportive working environments across every project we deliver.

Pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing is carried out in line with Network Rail procedures, alongside thorough right-to-work and competency checks for every worker we place.

We work in close collaboration with client SHEQ teams to ensure our compliance processes align with the specific requirements and standards of each project.

We set project-level targets aiming for at least 60% of the workforce hired from within 25 miles of site and 80% within 40 miles.

This approach supports local communities, reduces commuting impact and directly contributes to our clients' social value pledges, creating lasting employment opportunities in the regions where projects are delivered.

Our delivery is aligned with our Net Zero Carbon plan to 2045, including the use of lower-carbon alternatives for site PPE and equipment wherever possible.

We ensure our site workforce is trained to operate in a carbon-conscious way, embedding environmental responsibility into day-to-day project delivery rather than treating it as a separate compliance exercise.
