Venesky-Brown is recruiting for an experienced Nightshift Foreman to support a major civils contractor delivering works at Glasgow Airport.
The successful candidate will work under the contractor’s General Foreman, supervising and supporting an initial civils gang carrying out trial-hole works during nightshift operations.
This is a hands-on supervisory role suited to someone with a strong civils background who is comfortable coordinating operatives, plant and day-to-day site activities.
Duties will include:
- Supporting the General Foreman with the supervision of the nightshift gang
- Coordinating labour, plant and site activities
- Overseeing trial-hole and associated civils works
- Ensuring works are carried out safely and in line with RAMS and site procedures
- Supporting toolbox talks and daily briefings
- Monitoring site standards and progress
- Reporting any issues, delays or requirements to the General Foreman
- Maintaining good communication across the nightshift team
We are looking for candidates with:
- Previous Foreman, Working Foreman or Site Supervisor experience
- Strong civils background
- Gold CSCS Card
- SSSTS
- First Aid qualification preferredStrong civils background
- Experience supervising site operatives or small gangs
- Good understanding of excavation and general civils works
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Ability to work Sunday to Thursday nights, 21:00–07:00
- Availability to start Sunday 4 October
Experience within utilities, trial holes, excavation, drainage, ducting or infrastructure projects would be particularly relevant.
This is a great opportunity to join a major infrastructure project at Glasgow Airport during its early mobilisation stage.

Start Date: Sunday 4 October
Shift Pattern: Sunday to Thursday, 21:00–07:00
Pay: £25.50 per hour base rate
Monday–Friday nights: £33.92 per hour (x1.33)
Weekend nights: £38.25 per hour (x1.5)
