Concrete finisher
Venesky Brown are looking for Experienced concrete finishers in the plymouth area to support our client who has been appointed to deliver all civil engineering works on a MOD project
Work duties will be all general concrete work – Preparation, assisting with formwork , large pours , wet and dry finishing , patching , grouting , any related concrete , civils and genera site work
Job Details:
- Hours – average 45hrs weekdays , with regular overtime and weekend work available
- Day shift with potentially some shift work , depending on work demands and contract requirements
- Duration – long term , ongoing work , potential long term employment
Requirements
- Valid CSCS Blue skilled card
- Previous employer references
- Proof of right to work
- Background of concrete finishing – 5 years minimum
- Must pass DBS security clearance
- Provide 5 year residence history and 3 year work history

Pay rates
- £20.81 – First 39 hours
- £31.21 – After 39 and first 4 Saturday
- £41.61 – After 4 Sat and all Sunday
+ Daily travel allowance – Calculated on mileage from home to site – local workers
+ £51.97 – Daily lodge allowance (6 paid for 5 days worked, 7 for 6) – Live away workers
+ Periodic travel – paid once every 4 weeks based on way one home distance – Live away workers
+ Daily Lodge to Site travel – Based on miles to site from the accommodation – Live away workers
Pay example – live away
If you work 47.5 hrs , with lodge allowance , you can expect –
£1025 after tax
+ £140 holiday pay
+£27 emp. pension contrbution
+ Daily Lodge to Site travel
+ Periodic travel
