Venesky-Brown Recruitment are looking for 2 experienced Pipelayers to support a major client delivering highways and road construction works within the Sizewell C project in Suffolk.
The successful candidates will join a civils team working on the SLR highways/roads works, carrying out drainage, ducting, underground pipework and associated infrastructure forming part of the new road works.
The positions will involve hands-on pipelaying duties including working to line and level, pipe bedding and surround, chamber installation and supporting associated excavation and drainage works.
We are particularly interested in candidates who have worked on highways, roads, drainage, utilities or major civils projects and who are comfortable working as part of an established pipelaying gang.
Pay and hours:
- £19.05–£19.50 per hour basic, depending on experience
- Initially 50 hours per week – 10 hours Monday to Friday
- Time and a half after 39 hours
- Time and a half for the first 4 hours Saturday
- Double time thereafter Saturday
- Double time Sunday
- CIJC lodge allowance payable where applicable
- Weekly PAYE
- Additional hours and weekend working may become available as the project ramps up
At the initial 50-hour Monday-Friday working pattern
Candidates should hold a valid CSCS appropriate competency card and have proven practical pipelaying/drainage experience.
No security vetting is required, allowing a quick start once normal onboarding and site induction requirements have been completed.
This is a long-term Sizewell C opportunity as the highways programme develops.
