Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Technical Operator for a contract until 18th December 2026 on a rate of between £20.34 and £24.60 £/hour (PAYE) depending on experience. This role is Part-Time, working 3 days per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays and has the potential to be extended.
Responsibilities
– Operating broadcast standard vision mixers and PTZ camera controllers
– Operating analogue and digital audio mixers and control equipment
– Monitoring audio and video levels to ensure technical requirements are met
– Use of portable single camera equipment
Essential Skills:
– Experience of working with vision mixers, PTZ camera controllers, analogue and digital audio equipment
– Experience of working unsupervised in a live transmission broadcast environment
– Experience of self-directing and cutting live output
– Comprehensive knowledge of broadcast audio and video technical standards and operating systems to ensure required standards are met
– The ability to work inclusively with a diverse range of people, adapting to their needs
– Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
